Hanbok was used by Koreans as a daily dress in ancient times. Until now Hanbok is still used frequently, but only for certain events. Hanbok has the characteristic A-line dress style and is closed from top to bottom.
Hanbok’s fashion side is then seen to have the same principles as the modest fashion style that Sayee carried. “The inspiration we want to share with the fashion industry in Indonesia, the style of Sayee with Korean originality as a fashion modest,” said Creative Director Sayee Joon-Woon Baek.

If you like watching Korean dramas set in history, you will often see Hanbok in bright colors. But for this collection, Sayee actually chose earth tones such as beige, brown, black, navy, olive, ash, and white for the collection.
Unlike the original Hanbok which is quite a hassle to use for everyday activities, the Sayee collection comes in the form of clothing pieces which must have been adapted to active women’s activities consisting of culottes, tops, outer, tunic, to skirts.
Veil Motif collection
In addition to introducing his new collection, Sayee also presents a collection of oriental motif veils in collaboration with Chae Dayoung, an oriental painter. Chae Dayoung develops hijab patterns with contemporary oriental art that express time travel.
