Having previously had success with the spring and summer collections in 2018, UNIQLO is now collaborating again with Finnish design house, Marimekko.
This time UNIQLO x Marimekko presents a limited collection of fall / winter by displaying thick and colorful materials typical of Marimekko.
Marimekko has a mission that is in line with the UNIQLO tagline, which can bring new colors to customers with Marimekko’s more colorful designs.
This collaboration collection includes several new items specifically designed to showcase some of Marimekko’s best-known collections, such as the Kivet (stone) designed by Maija Isola in 1965, the Tasaraita (even line) designed by Annika Rimala in 1968, and Siirtolapuutarha (city park) by Maija Louekari in 2009.
This limited edition line combines the iconic elements of UNIQLO and Marimekko, which revives the family’s winter tradition in Finland, while walking in the snowy forest under magical northern lights and gathering around the fireplace to warm the atmosphere.
As a fall / winter collection, this limited collection of UNIQLO x Marimekko is featured in the Ultra Light Down Cocoon Coat, UltraLightDown Cocoon Jacket, Wool Cashmere Hoodie, Turtle Neck Long Sleeve Sweater, Long Sleeve Dress, Long Sleeve Tunic, Short Sleeve T-shirt , Long Sleeve Jumpsuit, Heattech Ex Warm Turtle Neck Long Sleeve T-shirts, as well as some accessories such as shawl and socks.
Not only that, for the limited collection of UNIQLO x Marimekko this time, there is also a new collection for girls and babies, ranging from Light Warm Padded Parkas, Long Sleeve Dress, baby leggings, knitted accessories, to Heattech socks.
